Chapter III
Hello everyone! Happy Monday and enjoy reading the third part XD
Riu notices that Vidith still has his arms wide open wearing contagious pride all over his face.
"Yeah, smarty-pants. You have a motorcycle, I get it." Riu says playfully.
"Oh madam, this is not just any motorcycle. Its the vintage model. Its been on the run for the past fifteen years; might I say." Vidith huffs as he strokes the handle of the vehicle.
He notices that Riu is about to argue further but instead checks the time and says, "We will make it on time right?"
"You needn't worry. We will be. Now get along. We have got cities to visit and paint them red!"
"Uh huh." Riu laughs as she watches him get on the motorcycle and imitates him shortly afterwards.
A honeybee goes round and round a particular tree rooted beside the black vehicle and Vidith notices the scene as he takes off and immediately grins.
"What is the matter with you now?" Riu asks.
"You see that bee over there?" he points out to the tree and Riu's eyes follow.
"It just reminds me of the day when I got bit by a bee as I was chasing it like a madman. It was only because I wanted to cheer you up." he says as he rides away
"I told you I had wanted a bee as my pet but mum wouldn't let me have one. She thought I was being silly and when I came crying to you, you wanted to get me a bee." Riu interjects laughing.
"Oh my! We were like what? Six years old. Ah, but you do see the perks of having an amazing best friend right?" Vidith smirks jokingly.
"In the past." Riu corrects as she looks up to see crows flying.
An awkward silence follows for a few seconds. Riu could really not stop fantasising about the place she is in.
It's the city she always dreamt of visiting but little did she know she would meet the devil himself.
"Anyways, how is aunty?" Vidith asks all of a sudden, his words cutting the silence like a sharp knife.
Apparently, he didn't get an answer very soon.
"Riu?"
"Yeah, she passed away three months ago." Riu says in an emotionless manner
Vidith could feel the pain in her voice and before he could talk any further, they experience a sudden jerk realising that the alluring motorcycle has stopped abruptly.
Riu's eyes goes all wide when she tries to interpret the panaroma right about now. "Vidith, what just happened?"
"I think we are going to get a little delayed. About wee size." he says pinching his thumb and forefinger.
"Ugh, I think the tyre is punctured." he continues.
"You think? Vintage model eh?" Riu asks placing her hands on her graceful hips.
"Hey! Don't you talk about my baby like that. I am sure this has not happened since the time I have been riding it." Vidith defends.
"As far as you rode it?"
"Later. Now, let's get to the mechanic shed."
"How far is it?"
"About a kilometre."
"Woah, this really is a treat my friend." Riu declares sarcastically as she pats Vidith on the back.
"I would apologise but you are one needing my help, so better walk fast." Vidith says hurriedly.
"I don't need your help, Robinson Crusoe." Riu snaps.
"Convince yourself, now let's roll."
"Bleh, alright."
They walk towards their short term destination and as they do so, a comfortable silence sets in whilst both the minds try finding the answer to the same puzzle;
'How is it going to end this time?'
