Chapter II
Hello love! Have an amazing weekend and enjoy reading y'all XD
"Well, Ms. Riu Ahnanan." she hears the masculine voice greet her with a familiar grin so goofy, it gets her annoyed.
"What are you doing here Vidith?" Riu grumbles awkwardly.
Not at all fascinated by the arrival of her ex-classmate, she gets up and dusts the mud off her pants so craggily that her manicured nails might have just chipped off.
"Woah, hello to you too. I am great and how are you?" Vidith stretches out his hand for a genuine handshake. "Oh, before you could nag any further, I moved to Bangalore about three years ago and that's the reason you get to meet the hunk today." he says flexing his muscles.
Rolling her eyes, Riu slaps his palm aside and starts walking away in an impatient manner.
It takes less than a second for Vidith to realise what just happened and immediately starts tailing behind her in a hurried march.
"Riu, could we talk?"
All of a sudden, she stands still. Uncomfortably, she turns towards him and looks right into his baby brown eyes.
"What?" is all she manages to say.
"Did you miss the train?"
"Uh huh."
"Where were you heading to?"
"Mumbai."
Vidith let out an audible sigh scratching his forehead. "Okay, Riu. Your one word replies are not really helping." he says with a frown.
"Phew okay, I got off the train to.. stretch and before I could get back, you know the scene." Riu points to herself.
"I really have to get to Mumbai today. There is a show which I will be hosting that is due tomorrow morning and its just so very important. My phone, all essentials, just pffft; in that train.
I have no idea what is happening." she blurts out in palpitation so very fast.
"Hey hey, relax. Listen, is it okay if I get you to Mumbai? You can't catch a train today and.."
"I am broke." Riu interjects.
"..and you are broke. Let me help you" he says in a skeptical way.
"Ahh! Vidith Nair, you are kidding me? You certainly have the nerve to think that I will accept your so very kind offer after what happened last time? Also, don't you have a life?" Riu demanded.
"Dude, that was around eight years ago. I am quite sure I am not leaving you midway as a subject to stray dogs." he scoffs.
"I am absolutely sure that this lovely alter-ego of yours didn't stop you from abandoning me, say what, eight years back?" Riu asks folding her hands with her one brow raised at the man himself.
"Riu, do you want to get to Mumbai or not?"
"I certainly do."
"I am afraid you don't have much of an option."
"Ofcourse I do, I could catch a bus or something."
"Love, you want to go to Mumbai. Like another mega city. Not the grocery store next shop. Will you please listen to me?" Vidith asks in a low but firm voice.
Riu finds herself thinking for a while and goes, "Ugh, but how?"
Vidith grins majestically and says, "Well, now that we have walked out of the station; I will just let you have the answer to that in no time."
They stride off towards particularly nothing with thoughts swooning in Riu's pea-sized mind.
A few seconds later, she witnesses a sleek and a very graceful black tool so vintage she wouldn't mind looking at it forever.
"This is my baby." she hears Vidith proudly present the vehicle to her with his arms wide open.
So a motorcycle it is.
