Chapter IX

Heya guys..! So the story is coming to an end. So wait for the last chapter in a few days. Until then, here you go!!

"Me? Hurt in the sense?" Riu asks shockingly.

"Nothing physical. Just in any way possible. It was bad Roo. Anyways, I just thought it would be best to get myself away from anyone close to me. So that was the stupid reason." Vidith says between trembling breaths.

"So it's with the same intensity now? The OCD?"

"I have learnt to shut it down. You think you would still be alive if I was the same person back then?" Vidith laughs even though it seems forced.

Riu narrows her eyebrows at him and encourages him to sarcastically go on.

"So sir, how does this validate the fact that I was devoid of your wedding, may I know?" Riu asks with a puffed chest.

"That's easy. I was scared if it would all come back to me if I let you back in my life considering you were the closest. So it was a dilemma."

"So has it reduced to the point where I can joke about it?" Ritu tries lightning the mood.

Vidith narrows his eyelids at her and laughs it off. "Can we continue the ride? It's getting late." 

The rest of the trip, they surprisingly don't seem to talk at all.

It is near midnight now and Riu seems to be drooling on her pants making it so very annoying to Vidith to ride all silently.

Riu wakes up to find the morning sun shine bright on her pink nose. She finds herself to be still and in a completely different place.

"We made it Roo. Oh I did sleep for a few hours in between. Thanks for the concern."

she hears Vidith call her from a few metres away where he is standing like a baby mangatout.

"So that's it?" Riu says blankly.

"Huh?"

"Now we go back to our normal boring lives?"

"Pretty much."

"Wait, this can happen."

"What are you talking about?"

"Us. It can't end abruptly like this. Again."
